This is incredible! I’ve always been fascinated by the giant squid. The fact that they finally caught one swimming on film is groundbreaking!!

Great strides to finally have captured a glimpse. I was wondering if there was an opportunity or plans to tag and track this elusive animal?

  4. Emily says:

    Cathy,
They captured the footage of the giant squid from a manned submersible so they didn’t make any effort to tag it. I haven’t heard of any plans to continue to track it, but I will definitely post updates as soon as they become available.
