2013: The Year of the Orca?

Written by on January 6, 2013 in Marine Life, Whales & Dolphins

Check out this great post from TakePart about six different films and books that highlight the plight of captive orcas.

From The Whale, a film about a young orca who was separated from his family, to William Neal’s Rogue Justice (right), a thriller novel about an aquatic theme park where a captive orca dies, there is plenty to watch and read this year.

With any luck, increasing public knowledge about this complicated issue will help end the captivity of these and other intelligent marine mammals.
